Have you tried to change your life? Do you have a desire to win? What thoughts are you missing?

OK you probably have heard of reading self-help books, working on new skills, started a new diet and writing out numerous goals. But did you win or did it get old and you had to restart constantly?

Why do you do things like that? Is it because someone else told you to? All the success teachers tell us that positive statements, self-help books and goals will give you your win.

I was right there with you. I always thought that this book would have the answer. If I set the goal my exercise would improve. If I didn’t eat that I would lose weight. Did you join a gym or pay for that seminar that promised to help? I can tell you that for the majority of us these only work if you have the right mindset behind them.

How do you get that mindset for your missing thoughts?

How do you make that decision to win become so strong that there is nothing that can stop you?  The human brain is such an incredible thing. Beside the actual creation of the world, most things we use today were thought of from the human brain.

It analyzes, brainstorms, creates, dreams, engineers, forms, generates, imagines, learns, plans, speculates, visualizes and wonders.  Do not put yourself into the category of “I am what I am, and that’s that”. We forget that what our minds can do.

Think about the things that did change in your life and how you are a different person.   Are you different because you took your first step? rode your first bike? Learned how to drive, or got married and had kids.   Probably not, right?

Those things that happen to us are changes, some are thought about and some come naturally. Life is change! Every day you become a different person, you just do not realize it until the change is done and over with.

Where do thoughts come from?   Your mind is always working, you are always thinking, whether you are aware of it or not. Throughout your life you plant seeds in your brain from the experiences that you have. Some call them “thought seeds”, therefore your life becomes a reflection of the thoughts you consistently think.

Looking around, people do not realize most of what they think, and then do not realize how it affects them from day-to-day. They are missing one important key when they start their day.

Missing Thoughts

When you want to change something in your life, like money or something that has meaning to you, what do you do?

Think back and analysis you past, how did you grow up, where you always struggling? always experiencing the lack of money or whatever else you desired? If that is the case then that seed is planted in your thought pattern.

Those are the seeds that you need to change. Think of it as giving them fertilizer and spray to remove the dead part and grow the better parts.   Change those seeds out and planting new ones will fill in the gaps and create new thoughts, ones that will help you succeed.

I have some lessons for you to try.

Take one of your statements you found in your mind. For example we are going to use “I can’t sell anything!” Or “I don’t have enough money!” Can you relate to those two, or can you think of some yourself. “I am fat!” or “My nose is too big!”

They might not seem like much, but did you realize that all of those are holding you back?

What I want you to do is turn those statements around to positive ones. “I can sell anything to anyone!” Or I am rich!” How about “I am thin and health!” or “I have a beautiful face!”   Better right.   But what happens when you say them?

Did you hear that little voice behind you saying “Yeah, right!”?

Do you know what the problem is,   you DO NOT believe it! You do not want it bad enough to say it like you believe it. What you really need to do is create a new reality for yourself. The funny thing about reality is that ‘all reality is perceived reality.’

Here is an example of how things can be perceived.   Think of two people looking at the same thing.   Ask each one what they see!   How many times do you get two complete different answers? Two different perspectives on how their mind is translating it.

As you go throughout your day today I want you to look at your CPR (Current perceived Reality). What you have, what you know, what you do, and who you are. This is your own little universe.

Now, if you want to change something, you need to be someplace else. You need to mentally move out of that little universe and that is the direction of NDR (New Desired Reality).

How do you get there?

Depending on how far you need to go, or how big your jump is, depends on many things. How long have you been in your CPR, and how hard you think it will be to reach your NDR? Will your friends say you are dreaming or “It’s impossible”?

Until you cross the gap for each result, or experience it will be very difficult for you to make the leap to reach the new life and create the new reality you desire.

What is your Decision to Win?

Now do you want to find those missing thoughts and create that new life?

Most of us would say “YEAH!” So what do you need to do?   It hasn’t seemed to work with just positive statements. Believe me I have tried that too. It seems that your subconscious mind responds automatically to something that’s both simpler and more powerful that statements.

“Rather than continuing to beat yourself up for not getting the results you wanted, let me introduce you to a method that’s both simpler and easier that the one you’ve been using”. By The Book of Afformations.

Now it’s your turn!

  1. Great post. Do not wait; the time will never be ‘just right.’ Start where you stand, and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along.

  2. Sandy, I’ve written about exercise today in a similar vein. About being rooted in old habits and not beating yourself up if you don’t succeed on any given day or week!

It’s never too late to change anything we know we’re not getting quite right.

    Great post!
